Job Title: Sous Chef

Location: Near Newton Abbot, Devon

Salary: £35,000 per year + tips

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Working Hours: 40 hours per week, straight shifts, 5 days out of 7

About the Role

A well-established hospitality venue near Newton Abbot is currently seeking a talented and motivated Sous Chef to join their kitchen team. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate chef to work in a professional environment, supporting the Head Chef in delivering high-quality dishes while maintaining strong kitchen standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen
• Assist in preparing and cooking high-quality dishes
• Help manage kitchen staff and ensure smooth service
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety
• Assist with stock control, ordering, and kitchen organisation

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Chef de Partie ready to step up
• Passion for high-quality food and fresh ingredients
• Ability to work well under pressure during busy services
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Good knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene standards
