TQR are working with a well-established fine dining restaurant in Exeter who are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join their professional kitchen team.

Sous Chef – £36,000 + Bonus

About the Role
As Sous Chef, you will support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of a busy fine dining kitchen operating at 2 AA Rosette standard. You will lead kitchen shifts, ensure the highest standards of food preparation and presentation, and play a key role in maintaining consistency across service.

The role also involves supervising and mentoring junior chefs, assisting with menu development, managing stock and ordering, and ensuring full compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a high-quality, fast-paced kitchen environment.

Requirements

• Proven experience working in a 2 AA Rosette standard kitchen
• Background in fine dining environments
• Strong knowledge of stock control, GP management, and rota planning
• Excellent leadership and team development skills
